  • Anodising is an electrochemical process that forms a hard, wear-resistant oxide layer on aluminium. This provides the material with better protection against corrosion and gives it a high-quality, matte finish.

  • Ja, deze platen zijn uitstekend bestand tegen weersinvloeden. Dit maakt ze zeer geschikt voor gevelbekleding, boeidelen en andere constructies die blootstaan aan regen en zonlicht.

  • Nee, geanodiseerd aluminium roest niet zoals staal of ijzer. De anodiseerlaag vormt een beschermende oxidelaag die voorkomt dat zuurstof en vocht het onderliggende aluminium aantasten. Hierdoor is het materiaal uitstekend bestand tegen corrosie, zelfs in vochtige en zoute omgevingen. In extreme omstandigheden, zoals in kustgebieden of bij blootstelling aan agressieve chemicaliën, kan de oxidelaag na verloop van tijd wel doffer worden, maar het aluminium zelf blijft beschermd. Voor extra bescherming kan een dikkere anodiseerlaag of aanvullende coating worden toegepast.

  • Geanodiseerde platen zijn eenvoudig te reinigen met een mild schoonmaakmiddel en een zachte doek. Vermijd schurende reinigers, omdat deze de anodiseerlaag kunnen beschadigen.
