Product Features

  • Excellent machinability, rigidity, and stability
  • High mechanical strength; weather-resistant
  • Suitable for milling, turning, and welding
  • Aluminium sheet in EN AW-6082 alloy is made from a high-quality 6000 series alloy, with magnesium and silicon as its main alloying elements. These provide excellent strength and dimensional stability, making the material ideal where high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance are required.

Due to its high tensile strength and rigidity, this alloy is widely used in heavy-duty structures, mechanical engineering, and transport applications such as bridges, cranes, vehicles, railway systems, and shipbuilding. Its excellent resistance to corrosion and atmospheric conditions also makes it highly suitable for outdoor and marine environments.

The alloy offers very good machinability and is excellent for milling, turning, and drilling, making it a popular choice for precision engineering. In addition, EN AW-6082 is highly weldable with standard welding techniques and retains strong structural integrity after welding.

At Comhan, this alloy is primarily available in thicker plate sizes and can be custom cut or CNC milled and turned upon request.
